Bailey W. Mahoney is a domestic relations attorney who has been committed to assisting families going through dissolution of marriage and child-related cases since she first began law school at the University of Denver.
During law school, Bailey gained extensive academic and practical experience in both family law and litigation. Bailey acquired a unique perspective on how judges handle the complexities of domestic cases while interning for the Honorable Angela R. Arkin in Douglas County District Court. She also clerked for the Honorable Dana Wakefield, a retired judge and court-appointed Child and Family Investigator (CFI), where Bailey assisted in making recommendations to the Court regarding children involved in high conflict cases. During law school, Bailey also had the invaluable experience of clerking for the private family law firm Willoughby and Eckelberry LLC. In this role, Bailey established a strong foundation for the practice of family law while also being given the responsibility of managing numerous cases in the area of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) law. As a result, Bailey is experienced with matters involving gestational surrogacy agreements, egg and sperm donation, parental rights judgments, and second and stepparent adoptions.
Prior to beginning her legal career, Bailey received both her MBA and undergraduate degree in business from Oklahoma State University, during which, Bailey completed extensive coursework in finance and accounting. With this unique educational background, Bailey is exceptionally well suited to handle the financially complex issues that frequently arise in divorce and child-related cases, such as determination of income when a party is self-employed, business valuation, executive compensation, child support and equitable distribution in marital settlement agreements. In addition, Bailey has proven effective in the courtroom and excels in the area of written advocacy.
Bailey is a passionate advocate with a dedication to assisting families and brings both practical experience and personal understanding to her practice. Bailey works diligently to obtain customized and cost-effective solutions for her clients and strongly believes in the importance of developing close professional attorney-client relationships.
